- 1 pound red grapes
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon black peppercorn
- 1/8 teaspoon yellow mustard seed
Wash and dry the grapes, then slice the stem end off, set aside. In a small saucepan, combine the water, vinegar, and sugar, and bring to a boil.
Meanwhile, add the rest of the spices to the bottom of a quart-sized jar, then add the grapes. When the liquid has boiled, add to the jar and cover with lid. Let cool to room temperature and then refrigerate for 24 hours before using.
