Black Bean Burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 15 ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely minced
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Salt and pepper

To Make: 
In a bowl, lightly mash the beans (think half mash, half beans). Then mix in the onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, chili powder, and egg – as well as some salt and pepper.

Form in to 4 patties and set aside. Cook on your favorite grill / grill pan / frying pan about 5 minutes per side.
